Just finished another new feature for the next minor release. Still with the migration theme, but this time from a Preachit install.
With J1.7 now here and J1.8 around the corner many are moving on from J1.5 websites. For those who take the upgrade route Preachit will upgrade with you without any problems. For those who are taking the opportunity to start a new site things aren't quite so easy.
Today I put the finishing touches to an export/import function for the Preachit database tables. Preachit will produce a complete backup of your records as an xml file. You can then import this into any preachit install in two ways. Either as a restore, this will remove your existing records and replace them with those in the xml file. Or as an import, this will add the records in the xml file to those in your tables.
Hopefully this will make things a little easier.
